An exploration of the idea of a light cape, kimono and a t-shirt, this item underwent multiple dyeing and washing processes, resulting in a fade effect that mimics natural sun-bleaching. Made from high-quality cotton.
On the back, the print is a scan of a burnt banknote. This banknote was created in collaboration with Unsound's Artificially Intelligent Artistic Director and is a reference to Unsound festival’s past venue – the communist-era brutalist Hotel Forum. This special currency allows for a donation to Hell through burning, necessary for the redemption of festival sins. Yet the Dada banknote is only partially burned, existing in a liminal phase between worlds, between past and future festivals, between past experiences and those to come.
You can choose the item featuring a print of the banknote obverse (blurred face) or reverse (Hotel Forum).
